Manchester United will look to bounce back from Sunday’s 2-1 defeat at Manchester City when they welcome Bournemouth to Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
The Red Devils slipped 11 points behind their rivals in the Premier League table following the disappointment of the derby defeat, but they will have the chance to return to winning ways when the Cherries make the trip to Manchester.
Phil Jones has been declared fit to return after spending the last month on the sidelines, but Marcos Rojo is a major doubt for United due to a head wound.
It would be fair to say that summer signing Victor Lindelof struggled in the early stages of his United career, with his performance at Huddersfield Town a real low point.
The 23-year-old has shown glimpses of his potential in recent weeks, however, and seems to have won over a large section of the club’s supporters.
Indeed, many have called for centre-back Lindelof, who is valued at £19.8m by transfermarkt.co.uk, to return to the starting XI for Wednesday’s home game against Bournemouth.
